Past:
Registrations for version 2.00 has started to come in at a slower pace. Still the number of people who took the time (and money) to register exceeded all expectations. Thank you all very much. If you still haven't registered, now would be a great time to ask for some good discounts on version 2.00! Version 2.10 is looking good with a few nice additions. Especially the animated jumper adds a lot more feel to jumping.
Present:
Still thinking of adding some more features to v2.10. Some kind of four hills mini-tournament in the middle of the season seems like a good idea, and a utility to join TOPTEN.SKI files is on the addition list for v2.10. I won't be able to promise a big improvement in the background graphics departement :( So, ARTISTS AHOY! I would very much like to see people drawing backgrounds themselves and sending them to me. Mail me for details on how to draw backgrounds yourself, it's a piece of cake. Most wanted are "realistic" backdrops such as in the Helsinki hill. Chances are that if you send in a good realistic background it will be included in v2.10! So, still a little more work to do until the new version is released. Estimated Time of Release (ETR) is under 1 month. Stay hungry. Oh yeah, I added some new files to the Download Area; all the 15 hills without backgrounds (for you artists) and some new strange namefiles are on the way too.
Future:
The future is looking quite good. Version 2.10 is on it's way, and I have some good ideas for versions 2.2 and later. The plan is to do a more of a radical change to v2.2 with around 10 more hills, better stats and a automatical Universal Hiscore List updater which would allow all the results to be shown instead of just the Top 30. And as usual, all the people who have mailed me with regard to SJ2, will be the first to recieve version 2.10 when it's released.
