what's up?
The Past, Present and Future of SJ3 on July 30th 2003.
past
"It's been a long time since I rock and rolled"
Hey, guys. Hello to the
most loyal fans. It's been too long since the last of these. Springtime
was real busy, I wasn't at the computer much due to other life stuff, as
could be seen by slow service and not much updating, sorry, but it's like
that sometimes.
Still, I was able to put together a few things with SJ3 that should make
the autumn season interesting...
present
"It's been a long time since I did the stroll"
Thanks to American SUV's, no Kioto agreement or just great luck, the
summer is Finland has been absolutely beautiful. So service has been slow
and will be if it stays sunny for long. Sorry. But presently I have a
nearly finished version 3.11 awaiting some testing and
translations, and it should be released to conquer the autumn market once
the weather gets bad and people return indoors.
v3.11, as the small step in version numbering implies, is nothing
too special from v3.10. The version has been developed with easier
internet competitions in mind. No, there won't be a pure online game
(yet), but something along the lines of sending Sendme.txt's
(Customs.txt this time) will be in
store. And sticking to ideals, the new version will be totally
free-of-charge to those already registered.
More about the whole deal later. And as I'm releasing the thing in a
few months, there's still time to mail me with those great ideas you guys
have for the game.
future
"Ooh, let me get it back"
Piracy still sucks big time, but I would like to see somebody
pirate this; the
SJ3 T-shirts will be made and they will be open for pre-order soon!
The design is very cool, thanks to design-wonder Mr. Jaakko Seppälä,
so you should be purchasing and looking good thruout the autumn months.
The shirts will be available around the same time as v3.11 to optimize the
hype. To summarize: we're still alive, don't dispair, it's getting good.
Peace!
